DR. OMED’S VIRTUAL SUNDAY SCHOOL THEODICY 101: IF GOD IS GOD Inspired by Meg's Frequent Questions Program Does God have free will?   If God has free will, why does He allow bad things to happen, such as—limiting ourselves to the the anthropocentric point of view for the moment— human suffering?   Does God suffer with us?   If God suffers with us, is He a Masochist?   If God does not suffer, is He a Sadist?   If God is a Masochist or a Sadist, does He want us to be Masochists or Sadists?   Is Jesus God, or God’s Son, or Both?   If God is the Father, Jesus is the Son, and God is Jesus and Jesus God, could Their Relationship be considered incestuous?   When Jesus prayed to God in the Garden of Gethsemane, was He talking to Himself?   If God is at least Three People in One (bringing in the Holy Spirit), does He have Multiple Personality Syndrome?   If God has split personalities, is Satan simply One of the Personalites He suppresses and denies as His Own?   On the Cross, according to the King James Version, Jesus said, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?” If Jesus is God, can he forsake Himself?   Assuming Multiple Personalities, was it some sort of psychotic break?   If God did forsake Jesus while He was suffering on the Cross, and if God is either a Sadist, a Masochist, or Sado-Machochist, why did He leave?   Wasn’t He enjoying Himself?   Or did He just get bored and wander away, Jesus having suffered so much that day? 1:57:53 PM    comment []
