DR. OMED’S VIRTUAL SUNDAY SCHOOL

THEODICY 101: IF GOD IS GOD

Inspired by Meg's Frequent Questions Program

      • Does God have free will?

      • If God has free will, why does He allow bad things to happen, such as—limiting ourselves to the the anthropocentric point of view for the moment— human suffering?

      • Does God suffer with us?

      • If God suffers with us, is He a Masochist?

      • If God does not suffer, is He a Sadist?

      • If God is a Masochist or a Sadist, does He want us to be Masochists or Sadists?

      • Is Jesus God, or God’s Son, or Both?

      • If God is the Father, Jesus is the Son, and God is Jesus and Jesus God, could Their Relationship be considered incestuous?

      • When Jesus prayed to God in the Garden of Gethsemane, was He talking to Himself?

      • If God is at least Three People in One (bringing in the Holy Spirit), does He have Multiple Personality Syndrome?

      • If God has split personalities, is Satan simply One of the Personalites He suppresses and denies as His Own?

      • On the Cross, according to the King James Version, Jesus said, “My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?” If Jesus is God, can he forsake Himself?

      • Assuming Multiple Personalities, was it some sort of psychotic break?

      • If God did forsake Jesus while He was suffering on the Cross, and if God is either a Sadist, a Masochist, or Sado-Machochist, why did He leave?

      • Wasn’t He enjoying Himself?

      • Or did He just get bored and wander away, Jesus having suffered so much that day?
