DR. OMED’S VIRTUAL 24-7 SUNDAY SCHOOL   THE JESUS SILO ON MAGNETIC MOUNTAIN, EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS READY TO LAUNCH   THEODICY 101: IF GOD IS GOD   Is God Love? If God is Love, and the people God loves go to Heaven when they die, why isn’t suicide a sacrament? If you love God the way God loves you, wouldn’t you want to kill yourself, and take as many of your friends and loved ones with you, so you could all get to Heaven as soon as possible, and sit at the Right Hand of the Lord? If God is Love, and the people God loves go to Heaven when they die, and if a fetus is a person God loves, a human soul from the moment of conception, why isn’t abortion a sacrament, since aborting a fetus sends a soul unblemished by sin straight to Heaven? If you are a pregnant woman, and truly love the fetus you carry in your womb, wouldn’t you want to abort your fetus so it could go straight to the Lap of Jesus in Heaven, never to suffer in this vale of tears? After all, the only place that beats a good womb is Heaven. If God is Love, is God’s Love limitless, a healing and saving Love, that pervades all existence? If God is Love, as specified above, aren’t all things expressions of His Love? If all things are expressions of God’s Love, aren't murder, rape, torture, war, disease, malnutrition, starvation, natural disasters, extinction of species and destruction of ecosystems, and all the trouble flesh is heir to, expressions of God’s Love? If God is Love, and God’s Love is a limitless, healing and saving Love that pervades all existence, don’t you think He has a strange way of showing it? 3:12:38 PM    comment []
