Sunrise, Sunset....aka Dr. Omed's Open Skies Initiative
Sunrise, sunset/ Sunrise, sunset/ Swiftly flow the days/ Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers/ Blossoming even as we gaze/ Sunrise, sunset/ Sunrise, sunset/ Swiftly fly the years/ One season following another/ Laden with happiness and tears... All are welcome to send digital sunrises, sunsets, skyscapes, and stormy weather in jpeg form to be posted on Open Skies (formerly Dr. Omed's Sunset Derby)... Off we go into the wild blue yonder,/ Climbing high into the sun...

SUNRISE

41ST & HARVARD, TULSA, OKLAHOMA, 7:34AM CST

ON LEWIS JUST SOUTH OF 61ST ST, LOOKING ACROSS GOLF COURSE, 7:43AM CST

My car needed some work on the driver's side door handle, so Elspeth and I got up early this morning, had breakfast at Phill's Diner (yes, with two Ls), dropped off Mina (what a Chevy Lumina becomes after the LU falls off), and rode a carpool built for two to our respective places of employment. The morning was beautiful but chill, with frost glazing the grass and white mist hanging low over the ground. I've tweaked these dpics a bit, and added watercolor effect.

AFTER SUNSET

TRAVELLING SOUTH ON RIVERSIDE DRIVE, TULSA, OKLAHOMA, 6:10PM CST

TRAVELLING SOUTH ON RIVERSIDE DRIVE A FEW SECONDS LATER

TRAVELLING SOUTH ON RIVERSIDE DRIVE, 6:11PM CST

These I took on the way to pick Els up this evening. I was driving with one hand and snapping pictures with the other through the passenger side window. In the first image, the black streaks are the blurred, disembodied limbs of passing trees. The bluish diagonal smudges that resemble cigarette smoke or a faint Aurora Borealis are my beagle's nose smudges on the car window, reflecting the automatic flash I hadn't bothered to turn off. I liked the effect I got after I tweaked these.  I have an amazing amount of fun with my cheap little dcam.
