POEM OF THE DAY
Day of the Dog
In the army of the dog
we don’t need
no fucking ponies.
we lift our legs
to salute the flagpole.
four legs
still good.
when the tail wags
it wags for thee.
old wags
teach new pricks.
we sleep in mangers
and rise with fleas.
we will have our day
and we won’t have to see a Man about it.
