ON DEATH ROW: THREE ROADSIDE MEMORIALS The roadside shrines seen below are located within the same quarter mile, alongside a narrow two lane road that runs like a drunk up the backside of Turkey Mountain from W. 51st and Hwy 75.  This stretch of asphault seems to attract reckless teen drivers and DUI DOAs like flies on molasses.  It merits the title "Death Row."  Lori and Adam   A poem dedicated to Adam and Lori Down the road a bit Note the scar on the tree, rear view mirror, and a bit of car hood in the upper left hand corner of the image.  Still fresh.  Memento mori. 7:24:22 PM    comment []

POSTCARD FROM SCENIC TULSA View of downtown over the roof of Cain's Ballroom. The Sex Pistols played at Cain's in 1977.  Someone I know lost their virginity under the Praying Hands sculpture in front of Oral Robert's City of Faith (Anybody remember the 800 foot Jesus?) as a direct result of attending that show.  Bob Dylan is opening his upcoming tour here at the Ballroom on Feb. 28.  It's already sold out. 6:30:26 PM    comment []
