My Liberal education has failed me! I can't seem to get my mind around the logic of war- Why does the ability to kill more of their guys make us the winner? 5:43:20 PM    comment []

Why do people vote against their own self interest? Or does the average/majority of people perceive that the Republican agenda really serves their interests? Does having a 401K make our futures so interdependent with the stock market/corporate ventures that the majority of voters will continue to vote with "their" best interest in mind while hoping for a personal return on the investment? As I stated above in the description of this blogg- I know and love a number of people who happen to be Republican.  I try and turn my ideas around to figure out what the logical is to opinions that differ from my own.  2:45:19 PM    comment []

What country could invade the US that would be welcomed with flowers and cheers? Canada ? Sweden ? England ? Didn't the English Generals call our "army" uncivilized for our war tactics during the Revolutionary War?  We didn't line up in neat rows, but attacked them from behind trees, and I don't think we wore regulation uniforms either......  12:04:00 PM    comment []

I just read the interview posted yesterday on Salon with Bill Moyers - He agrees with me that Tom Friedman is overly optomistic!  Bill is my favorite journalist- I want to thank PBS, NPR, and the BBC, for giving me little kernals of truth-  Oh, and the Onion!  Before the war started I kept mulling over the question - Does the administration know something we don't that facilitates their "confidence" ? - Alas, I came to the conclusion that is not the case and even now they are suffering from the Dum Up syndrome. 11:55:15 AM    comment []

THOMAS L. FRIEDMAN -Why have you forsaken me? Tommy- I don't understand why you believe in the Bushy Boy's and seem to advocate for the possibilities of this war.  I know you are a fellow Minnesotian, the land of Minnesota Nice and Proper - but you have traveled outside the frozen north and even the US.... How the HELL do you maintain such an optomistic perspective even though this administration seems to dive into ever potential pitfall you try and enlighten them about, as if it were a bomb crater sized swimming pool?   I had the same damn critisism of the pre 911 version of Lexis and the Olive Tree (which I still feel should be assigned reading for each an every American) But, But, I don't get where your optimism comes from.  I agree with your premises but your conclusions...........
