A Dream
I imagine an anti-war, anti-Bush parade with a marching band playing Stars and Stripes Forever, with Uncle Sam stilt-walkers, with sparklers and fireworks and American flags. Why can't we have this? I mean, we want to stop Bushco because we want to stop them from dismantling our American heritage, right? So why are we handing over the symbols of that American heritage to them? Probably for the same reason that the Democratic party is paralyzed between invertebrate swing voters and cynical radicals, while both groups are embarrased to be associated with the other. If we can solve one problem, we can probably solve them both.
