Please Help: Progressive Daily News is looking for software that will allow us to document the news about political and corporate corruption, in a graphic format. We are looking for an underwriter for this project as well. The software should be that which could be used to create "3D" connections between members of multiple boards of directors and their political, personal and investment and donation interests, as well as politicians investments in private industry. We also want to be able to image the connections between politicians who move between government work and private industry. Please help! |

But as Robert Kuttner underscores in his article, "Stranglehold: The Right-wing Push for a One Party State" in the February American Prospect, not only are Democrats in the minority everywhere, but under House Majority Leader Tom Delay's parliamentary dictatorship we are on the verge of a "near-permanent, partisan lock on government" that would guarantee the "completion of the Bush radical-right project: the dismantling of social investment, regulation, progressive taxation, separation of church and state, racial justice and trade unionism."

Things will come to a head in this country before the next election - all of the talk in the wind lately of what the administration will do to create a military government and scrap the constitution, if there's another terrorist attack. My strong belief is that this administration "let" the WTC attack happen to allow themselves the leeway to go forward with the grab for Afghan gas, poppies and Iraqi oil, let alone the "Patriot" Act. I watched the economy tank after Bush took office, I think because of people's fear. Then I've seen Bush dismantle programs and let his buddies pick up the pieces, just like the crumbling of the Soviet Union. Doesn't it seem strange that the head of the "free" world is the son of the CIA chief as is the president of Russia the ex-KGB chief and in the middle east Sharon is the ex-chief of Mossad? Each of these 3 bums are using the same tactics to consolidate power, in their respective fiefdoms: Chechnya, Palestine and GWB's Taliban, all bringing fear so the Great Wicked can offer his protection racket.

Rectenwald, announced the CLG's inauguration of the B.Y.O.B., Bring Your Own (paper) Ballot, campaign. The group calls for voters in the 2004 presidential contest to print, fill-out, and notarize their own copy of the CLG paper ballot receipt, as a safeguard against known flaws and vulnerabilities of touch-screen voting and the recent history of discarding votes and overthrowing election results.
