American Lawyer in a Japanese Law Office

April 29, 2003. Tuesday. Moving to Kanda.

On my lunch hour yesterday I met a real estate agent and agreed to rent an apartment in Kanda.  I've been living in Ochanomizu since I started my job five months ago, and I truly love this area, but the apartment is just too small. The funny thing is that subway access here in Ochanomizu is so good that I dread moving already. (Oh, the long walks! Every morning! Every night!)

But there are limits on what one can do when one has no space at home.  I need more than one room if I'm going to do more than sleep and eat here, and I have to be able to put my books on shelves (instead of keeping them in boxes).
