We can't be quiet anymore
Can we get back to trivial shit again? Really. Is anyone interested in the fact that the next Matrix movie comes out this weekend? Or X2? I've been waiting for these movies for a long time. And what about my trip to Sicily? Another back-burner.
Face it, Bush lied, the war went on, it's now on the back pages. Isn't it time we resumed the mind-numbing, day-to-day existence America promises? Wasn't this war really about us preserving our freedom to indulge in our liberty to follow stupid trends, pursue grandiose dreams, vote for our favourite American Idol contestant? Yeah, sure, and fight terrorism, too. If only we could consume faster..
I'm so off war. I'm over the World Theatre. Where's my soma? I want to spend some time thinking about losing a few pounds to fit into the bathing suit I want to buy; I want to complain about the overexposure of Ben and J. Lo; I want to discuss the biggest media scandal: why did reporters refuse to acknowledge that Julienne Moore's Oscar dress was hideous? And I like green.
So can't we all just get along and go back to the world so rudely interupted on 9-11?
