Now that our participation as viewers of the war in Iraq is no longer required:
Frustrated, U.S. Arms Team to Leave Iraq Task Force Unable To Find Any Weapons (thanks CalPundit)
despite the discredited Judith Miller's insistance that "sources" tell her that something's there,
Trailer is a Mobile Lab Capable of Turning Out Bioweapons, a Team Says
I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of these 'unnamed sources.' Not one single story of import has broken that wasn't leaked by 'unnamed sources,' 'high government officials,' or 'a White House aide who doesn't want to be quoted.' Therefore, everything is basically rumor if no one is willing to go on the record. Then these rumors are presented as fact by the media, (with an ungodly lack of real research), and regular people don't know the difference.
My point is, our attention is being led away from the aftermath of the Iraq war - and the embarrassingly obvious lack of planning about what to do after the bombs stop dropping - toward tax cuts. Forget the unguarded nuclear waste dumps, forget the tribal infighting, stop whining about the (still) lack of water and electricity, we've got our deck of cards and we're checking 'em all off. (never mind they're still denying any WMD programs. What's Ms. Anthrax saying these days?)
Frankly, I'm at the point where I just don't want to think about anything right now. I'm exhausted.
