I've been glued to this monitor for months now, reading everything from Sydney to New York to Beijing, and have decided that it is a very entertaining world. I can't get enough, I'm hooked. This is my ultimate reality program; opinions and rhetoric from every corner of the globe. There's a guy on the Yahoo message boards that thinks he's a super spy who helped rescue Jessica Lynch; there's an angry (perhaps former victim) Catholic who spews hatred for the Church and dares people to quote scripture at him (on The Daily Show message board, no less); Ann Coulter (I refuse to link it) is starting a blog to further spew her spew and Calpundit is taking a poll to see if we shouldn't just ignore it and hope it'll go away. I'd like to, that would be my noblest desire, but she is a trainwreck, dammit, and I can't turn away. The Freepers are conspiring to hijack MoveOn.org's primary, intending to nominate Al Sharpton and force MoveOn to back him. Childish, but how will MoveOn protect itself, one wonders. Ezra Klein believes Democrats should reclaim the American Dream, and I'm down with his analysis. Ron and Steve are keeping the WMD torch burning, and all is well on that front. I'm surprised there's not much of an online furor over the documents found in some community hall. Maybe the CSM mini-scandal about Galloway is making the media skittish? Has the Telegraph denounced their documents yet?
Finally, a hummingbird has discovered the hibiscus I've got perched on my deck railing, and has gathered some friends for dinner. Somehow, this is a big deal to me; it's like I've finally arrived, I'm a stable food source. I'm feeling a little Earth-mother-ish. And whaddayaknow? It's the solstice.
I'm off to get naked and dance in the moonlight, who's with me?
