Should we be grateful that there is finally a sign of life in the
economy, represented by the Dow creeping above 9000? When Bush II was
inaugurated, it was just above 10,500. When Clinton was inaugurated it was
just above 3200! Yet in the early days of the Bush admin, Republicans were
claiming with a straight face that Clinton had "wrecked" the US economy.
Can the prez really influence the economy? I don't know, but all they
certainly CLAIM they can! That is the point of these tax cuts, right?
Let's see some results!
