Our first sacrifice for the baby.

(No, I'm still not pregnant)

Dave and I decided that we should start reducing how much coffee we are drinking.  The evidence is still changing on the effects of coffee on pregnancy, but being the old farts that we are, we figure why take the chance?  However, we have both been coffee heads for over 20 years now.  We're going to cut back slooowwwly.  Our plan is to gradually start mixing in decaf with the regular coffee until we end up with all decaf coffee.  We're at 1/3 decaf now.

Yesterday was a fog.  (And I don't believe it's entirely because we went out to dinner with friends the night before.) At work, people would be talking and I would lean my head against the door and think Cofffeeeee.  Of course, I could also explain the fatigue by being at work during the summer, or even, simply, just being at work.  But I choose not to insult my colleagues and I blame my fatique on the lack of caffeine.  Also, when I almost started crying because the university doesn't have enough money to buy me a proper desk, I think that was a lack-of-caffeine induced emotion.  I don't usually get that whipped, life-has-no-meaning feeling from poor office furniture.

This afternoon, we meet with the first architect.  Tonight, we run a 5K.  All with less coffee....
