The Architect
The good news is that the garage to office renovation should be cheaper than expected. Of course, if we'd like we can add a bathroom, "finish" it up and make it very pretty for about $15,000 to $30,000 (HAHAHHAHAHAHAH) or we can add a few windows,a wall mounted air-conditioner and a rug for much, much, much, much, much less. The "bad" news: the house probably couldn't take a second story without extensive and expensive reinforcements to the foundation. This architect encourages us to consider building out to the side into our (yechy, ivy covered) side space. Not so bad. The price per square foot estimate, however, gave me a little pause. One may recall my previous cheap ass statements of self. So, the home expansion project may be put off for a few more years until we've saved enough money, gotten massive raises and/or won the lotto. South Carolina here we come!!!
The 5K Race
Eeks. This one was a bit tougher. It was humid and hilly and late in the day. Bleah. The good parts were running in our home town with friends, and....ummmmmm....finishing! Thanks to Tom for sticking by me! I was hurting on that last hill by Erikkson (sp?) stadium and was ready to walk until I saw Tom right by my side. Dude, you kept me going! I didn't have enough breath at the end to say Thanks.
I'm not feeling particularly witty today. I'm still getting used to less caffeine. Maybe I can compensate less caffeine with more wine!?
