Bill was a hasbeen by the time he arrived last night.  Not THAT Bill, Tropical Storm Bill!  Lots of rain, but no tornados.  And yes, my friends from LA, I so prefer Hurricaines to Earthquakes.  You always know when a hurricaine is going to hit you.  Yes, they last longer than earthquakes, and can cause more extensive damage.  But an earthquake could hit right NOW.  or NOW.  or even NOW!  I used to love to freak my LA students out with that example.  At some point one student would say "STOP IT! You're freaking us out!"  Teehee!

I took the dog for his first run today since discovering that he had a healed broken leg.  We're down to one glucosamine pill per day and thought we'd check out his running.  We did 1.5 miles.  The first 1/2 mile was rough because Patches was pulling, and then he heeled quite nicely for the last mile plus.  He's not limping and seemed to enjoy himself.  I'd like to do 2 or 3 miles tomorrow to see how he does.  As a collie, once we work him up to it, Patches should be able to run all our runs with us.  And it will keep him out of trouble. 

Other news?  Duncan peed on Dave's gym bag.  I still have not bought the Feliway. 

Tonight is doggie class.  We have been bad parents and have not worked with him nearly enough.  It's going to be a rough class.  I'm not sure when graduation is orwhat the test will be.  I hope we learn Park It tonight, where Patches goes and gets on his blankie or pillow and lies down.  What a GREAT command that is, eh?!

Finally, a public thanks to my husband for folding the clothes that I washed last week but were sitting on the bed in the guest room getting nice and wrinkled.  I love STARTING the laundy, but I absolutely hate folding the clothes.  This fact would be obvious if you could see me and note that all my clothes are clean, but quite disheveled. 

To work.  Must finish late report.  Must read, write and think.  Must drink more decaf coffee.
