The Study, Part II

We are still surrounded by files, books and photo albums.  The good news is that we bought the $80 TV (I was off a bit on price yesterday) and have moved one major bookshelf out to the garage.  We have also reduced the book clutter by storing and rearranging the books.  A few more old chairs are going to head out to the garage, too.  We've put some of our hard back books in the built-ins in the living room.  I'm hoping Dave can head over to Home Depot to have a few shelves cut so we can put some more out there. 

We're planning by the end of the day to have a sleeker, cleaner front of the house.  WOOHOO!  I think remodeling/rearranging comes in fits and spurts. And you really have to up-end things to fix them.  I actually like that.  I'm a tweaker.  Other people (and cats and dogs) are more put-it-there-and-leavers.  It's actually a "truth" that cats become stressed when the furniture is moved around.  Scarlie is used to it.  Duncan-padunkin' gets stressed needs to eat more. 

Although we've still left Patches out of the crate, we confined him to one side of the bed last night with a puppy gate.  He had taken to sleeping at the foot of the bed and guarding us from cat snuggles the few nights before.  Not acceptable puppy behavior.  Last night was good though.  The cats were happy to be back and Patches stayed quiet the whole night. 

Other bits of random trivia you might find interesting:  Ovulation kits predict ovulation by detecting the presence of a LH surge (aka "Sergio").  Sergio, being the stronger older brother, precedes Ovalina by 24 to 48 hours.  We can aassume that he's advertising her debut or coming out party.  (Ovalina can sometimes be a bit of a deb.)  OK.  So you are supposed to test for Sergio once a day in the afternoon.  Guess what?  For 38% of women, Sergio is only around for 11 hours or less.  Once a day testing is likely to miss Sergio fo a large proportion of women.  Another bizarre statistic:  10% of women do not even start producing the pregnancy hormone (when they are preggers) until after day 28 of their cycle.  3% go even longer than that.  Where does this info come from?  Oddly enough---Consumer Reports!  Who woudda thunk!?!??!  A lot of these web sites don't put that info out there.....At least I do trust consumer reports to be objective more than others.

Must get to work.  Must clean.  Leaves and debris are shooting off the roof right in front of the study window as Dave works and I blog.  Must do something physically productive.
