CONGRATULATIONS CARTER AND EVELIN!!!!!

There's a distinct possibility that lifechanges will no longer be delayed!  Carter and Evelin have some great news:  their own bun in the oven complete with their own ultrasound and beautiful tiny beating heart!  My call:  this little guy/gal's gonna be a rebel.  Told not to get pg, they surprised themselves by going out and doing it anyway!  A rebel or an achiever...I don't know, but it's great news!!!!  As always, they are "not out of the woods" for a few more weeks, but things seems very, very good at this point.  Blog hugs and cheers to C and E.

Yoga while Pregnant

Every Friday, I want to come home and blog about doing yoga and every Friday, I forget!  I'm still taking "regular" yoga classes (not prenatal), but I'm having to modify or simply not do some of the poses (e.g., twists and "superman" back exercises).  Nonetheless, I absolutely love this class.  Why?  After we do our standing poses including a bazillion planks, chaturangas and updogs, we get to lie on our backs and do stomach exercises.  I no longer do the stomach exercises---I'm not so sure they are a good idea.  Instead, I feel up my belly.

Doing the somewhat vigourous yoga gets my blood pumping and as a result my muscles (i.e., my uterus) gets engorged with blood and is huge!  It gets so big that lying down, my stomach feels flat except for this mellon poking off a bit to one side, hard, big and full of baby!  It is so frickin' cool!  It only lasts for a minute or so until my blood spreads out again, but I just love it!!!!  It's the easiest way I've found to cop a feel of my uterus!

One funny pose today: the table.  Basically, it's belly up to the ceiling supported by legs and arms, kind of like a back bend, but not bending.  The back is straight.  The yogi is calling out "Keep your stomachs flat" and I look in the mirror and there's a small soccer ball of a belly balanced on my "table."  Pretty dang cool!

Dave's home! Time to go catch up on the day.
