Retail Therapy

Last night, I finally broke down and bought some new shoes from PayLess, the only place to find comfortable wide shoes for my ever expanding feet and then headed over to Target for their rug sale.  I needed some new shoes because I had worn my Isaac Mizrahi boots from Target every day since I bought them (they are really cute) and the heel tap finally wore off.  Even more pathetic looking than wearing the same shoes every day is wearing the same broken shoes every day.  I ended up with a pair of low thick heel loafers and some walking on air clogs.  Oh yeah, baby!!  Clogs!  As soon as I got home last night, I whipped those bad boys out and kept them on until I went to bed.  Who woudda thunk PayLess would have decent, cute-ish, comfortable clogs???

At Tarjay, I picked up several area rugs for the house.  We have needed a runner for the bedroom for quite a while.  And for $21 how can you beat a runner that matches our comforter and our walls?  For that price, I also picked up a runner for behind the sofa in the living room which we like and one for the kitchen cooking area which we don't.  We need a bigger one for that area.  Tarjay's sale only lasts until Saturday so when I return the rug we don't like, I'll see if there's a bigger one that we do.

Bun movement update:  last night twice when I rolled over and compuslively put my hands to my belly, I felt him swim from the bottom to the top of my belly bump.  To those of you who have already been through pregnancy, I'm sure this seems quaint and no big deal. But for me, these are the first tangible sensations of my own son that I can feel on the outside of my body and it honkin' rocks.  The bun-capades are definitely going to be the best part of being pregnant.
