I'm back home early today from this month's 15 minute OB visit.  Things look fine.  I'm measuring at 23 centimeters for my uterus, right on track for the baby's development.  He was also very generous about the poison ivy medicine.  He said he would have prescribed an oral steroid for treatment (why, then did the nurse tell me to go to my GP as opposed to coming in to see Dr Wood????).  He didn't think the topical steroid was dangerous and also said that most drugs are classified as Class C in pregnancy.  He said several times that I was doing well, so I didn't push it by asking about the weight gain.  I'm 1-2 lbs over where I'd like to be, but I gain/lose 2 lbs depending on what I've had for dinner.  So I'm not going to sweat it.  (too much)

Dave is home early too.  We had to take the Jetta in today to fix the window that just sort of fell down and wouldn't come back up.  Apparently, it's a "known problem" with Jettas and they've even extended the warranty.  Would have been nice, as Dave pointed out, to have known that via a letter and had the parts replaced last time we were in there instead of waiting for it to fail and having to drive around with the driver's window open.  At least this one didn't cost anything.....I just really hope this thing is going to last the 20 years we're planning on it lasting!!!

I am going to do some more work tonight and maybe even finish up with the bedroom switch.  We're down to figuring out where the shoes go.

OH!  And I forgot the big news:  we ordered the baby furniture yesterday!  We went with Baby Town in Charlotte, got the Bonavita Carla crib in cherry, the Dutalier glider in cherry with a light green fabric....and we went for the monkey rug!!! I'm very excited about the monkey rug!  It was cool too b/c the store had a diff't Bonavita crib but in cherry and a diff't Dutalier glider but with the right cushion color all set up in a light sage room.  We plopped down the monkey rug and got to see what it would look like all together.  Since I have a hard time visualizing that sort of thing, it was reassuring to actually see them set up.  As for the rest of the furniture, we're going to move a long dresser into the baby's room for the changing table/dresser and then buy an unfinished lingerie cabinet for our room (all stained cherry).  Our room is too small for that piece of furniture and it should match the other furniture well enough.

Off to work on my presentation and papers.
