Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

So the good news is that I'm not doing my research talk to my colleagues. It's good news only because it's a wee bit stressful.  I've already put 8-10 hours of work on it.  I'm hoping we reschedule it.

The bad news is that the reason I'm not doing the talk is that we're heading to Greensboro to visit my Dad in the hospital.  It seems like a variant of the thing that sent him to the hospital about  7 months ago.  They are running more tests now and they are ruling out all kinds of really bad things.  But we still don't know why he's in so much pain.

It's been a very eventful week to say the least.  I had another teaching evaluation yesterday--a fellow prof comes into my class and provides constructive feedback.  Tomorrow the yearly self-evaluation is due.  I have a master's proposal defense in the morning.  A meeting on last semester's class survey on Dave's work tomorrow afternoon, and I'm still behind on my part of the paper to my mentor.

But really, the best news that whatever is wrong with Dad does not appear to be life threatening.  Just life alterning for now.
