Gestational Diabetes Test

Monday was my doctor's visit and gestational diabetes test.  Basically, I had to drink an orange soda and sit around for one hour before they took my blood.  I was a bit worried about the drink because I had heard that it was a nasty concoction. However, due to my hardy farm stock, I thought it tasted like an orange Shasta and wasn't that bad at all. 

The good news is no news from the doctor yesterday.  No diabetes, which being a bit older, I'm apparently at a higher risk for.  Nonetheless, see the previous comment about "hardy farm stock."

Other than the test, everything was fine at the doctor's.  I'm right on target for baby growth and my weight is OK.  I start rotating doctors at my next visit which I know I should do, but I'm going to miss mine during the rotation.  I would just hate to have a complete stranger deliver the baby! 

OK.  Nothing witty today.  I'm stressed about the papers I'm grading, the papers I'm reading/reviewing and the papers I'm writing, and it's hard to stay focused on much else.
