Blogs I Read
Carroll
I had a very nice treat on Friday: I had lunch with Carroll, one of the regular commenters on this blog. She was in town with her husband who was on a business trip. It was nice to finally put name to face, and to also hear of some uncannily similar experiences she had gone through, including one of those near-miss fires.
There are a lot of outcomes I didn’t expect when I started this blog. First, I didn’t expect that I would find so many other similarly minded mothers and fathers of a certain age out there. Second, I didn’t expect that I would develop friends with the people who read this blog and whose blogs I read. It is particularly ironic I didn’t expect that because I study who communities of relationships that develop through online interactions!
The better treat from just meeting Carroll and having her meet Conor is that she’ll be back! Her husband comes to town regularly. And now I can look forward to seeing her again and we can do some of the fun things around
Crying baby…must go.
