No News is Good News

Thanks again for all your supportive comments and emails.  We have an appointment on Tuesday with a pediatric audiologist.  Yes, we are sure that everything is fine and we are hoping that the problem was just fluid on the ear.  However, they did test for fluid on the ear after he failed the hearing test and they found none.  Hence, why the speech pathologist suggested that I follow up with an audiologist specialist to make sure there is no real problem.

Honestly, there is a history of hearing problems in my family, and in one of my ears, my hearing drops off sharply in the upper regions.  It’s always been that way and the last time I went to the doctor (after the bloody ear infection), they mentioned that it might be hereditary.  I always thought it was due to my abundance of ear infections as a child, but it may not be.

Clearly, Conor does not have a significant hearing problem.  He responds well to questions and to sounds in his environment.  However, he might have an issue like I do.  Why the heck not check it out sooner rather than later???

I have absolutely no idea why I’ve calmed down so much since yesterday because nothing has changed.  But I do feel that everything is going to be just fine.

Clever, witty, blog starts here….

OK, maybe it doesn’t.  Big things on my mind right now include:

**my weight has gotten below what it was when I got pg, but my clothes still don’t fit.  I have a belly, a real round woman’s belly.  Bleah.

**Diapers do not always last overnight and I am too lazy in the morning to jump out of bed and change a leaky one when I recognize the leakiness.  He’s small.  If he was sleeping in his own crib, we wouldn’t notice until he got out of bed anyway.  We’re going to wash the sheets today in any case.  It’s too much overnight boob that is wrecking these diapers.

**EEEW!!!  A bird just flew into the office window and freaked the dog and me out.  We need to get the shades up in here.

Honestly, there are no big things on my mind right now that are interesting in the least.  No small things either.  Nothing.  Nada.  I must go eat.
