I Hate Daycare
I don’t hate this particular daycare. I just hate the idea of leaving my little one every day to be looked after by strangers, some of whom I really do trust and some of whom I don’t like as much.
Yes, I know this place and new and we’re all adjusting to each other. But having my mom here for two weeks made me realize how great having a nanny would be.
Conor is actually not doing as well as I first reported, although afterwards I remember his teacher saying that it takes about two weeks for them to get used to a new place. He has started crying as soon as we pull up into the parking lot. And it’s not just “crying”. It’s more like screaming at the top of his lungs.
That’s just not really a lot of fun for anyone.
That nanny thing though. That would be nice.
However, since that’s about as likely to happen as us fund this remodel, I would like to figure out a way that I get in to work really early and leave really early so that Conor spends less and less time at school.
That’s my goal for the next month.
