I’ve got the Bird Flu
Or maybe I’ve got SARS. All I know is that I feel completely and utterly like death on cold toast. My temperature is on a rollercoaster ride peaking at 103 and then taking a belly jolting plunge down to 100. There’s the chills! The thrills!! The sweats!! The yellow snot has reared its ugly head again, and I’m alternating between a dry and a raspy cough.
I’m poop-a-da-pooped pooped pooped. But I have too much work to get done today to take a sick day. (Even if I could take a sick day; we don’t get official sick days). Nonetheless, I’m having a hard time focusing on anything.
So I’m going to leave now and see if I can drink some more coffee, tea or something to help me kick into gear today.
The saddest news today is that for the first time ever, Conor did not want to go to school. He cried, he pouted, and he wouldn’t put his coat on. It was heartbreaking.
