Sinuses:  BE HEALED!!!

Well, I got exceptionally good news as the doctor’s office last Wednesday.  Not only are my sinuses better, they are apparently completely better.  The C/T scan showed that there was not one bit of snot/infection left in my sinuses.  And, better still, there was only one small place where it looked like there was thickness in my lining. 

My “recovery” is actually quite good as I have seen on the internets that chronic sinusitis is apparently quite difficult to treat.  I’m going to argue that the fact that I’ve only been on antibiotics three times in the last 25 or so years is one reason why the antibiotics were so effective.  I also asked him to check on the biofilm (if that’s the right terminology) and he said there was no evidence of my having a problem with biofilm. 

So the good news is that I take my last dosage of antibiotics tonight and tomorrow morning.

The bad news is that this fatigue is all mine.  It’s. All. Mine.  It’s not due to the sinus infection.  It is My Life.  My life as a worn out old hag who desperately needs to sleep for three days straight and never will be able to. 

I’m quite sad to learn that what I’m feeling is just “normal” working mother fatigue.  And as an aside, it’s much more fun to pronounce “fatigue” with its the proper French pronunciation “fah-tee-GAY” and then just to bastardize it altogether and call myself fat ‘n gay. 

So there.  Head is clear, mind is foggy.

And it’s taken me all that time just to provide this very short update.  Hopefully, more bon mots will be more quickly forthcoming.
