I got all excited when I saw this headline -- it sounded like the Iraq dossier wasn't the only thing getting "sexed-up" in Jolly Olde England:
Dyke summoned to BBC crisis meeting
Turns out it has everything to do with the "sexed-up" dossier (but not dykes, sorry to report). Upshot: The BBC is in deep doo-doo with No. 10, and the BBC's not backing down. At least, not yet:
Tony Blair's chief spin doctor Alastair Campbell has accused the BBC of reporting "lies" and demanded an apology for its repeated suggestion the prime minister took the country to war on the basis of false information. Mr Campbell attacked the BBC for standing by its now infamous claims that he had "sexed up" intelligence reports to provide a more compelling case for war in the face of denials from the prime minister and heads of the intelligence service.
