Tonight's developments:

1) Unemployment is at a 9 year high.

2) Saddam is still at large. Anyone who nails him gets 25 million. 15 million for his sons.

3) Bin Laden is still out doing who knows what.

4) The war is still going on in Iraq.

5) I'm on vacation until July 15th

Happy 4th!

I meant to write about this last night, but was way too tired. Yesterday I saw something develop, I had never really noticed before.

First some history. When I was growing up, and found short wave radio at 12, the one new source out there on the air waves that was above reproach was the BBC.

Now keep in mind the Cold War was under way, and you had everything from the Voice Of America, Radio Moscow, and Radio Peking spinning the news.

The place to go for the "the real truth" was the BBC.

Today the landscape has changed. There's not much left to listen to on the short wave bands these days, and now you have everything from satellite, and cable TV to the internet.

Yesterday morning I noticed an Op Ed piece in the Wall Street Journal attacking the the BBC. Next I heard one of the hosts on my own radio station doing the same thing. Then low and behold FOX NEWS was running reports critical of the BBC.

The "right-wing" attack media was in full swing. It remind me of the Cold War Days when the shit used roll down off high out of Moscow, and find its way on to every East Block short-wave station, and on to the CPUSA.

What was the BBC's crime?

They kept blowing the whistle on all the disinformation information pouring out of London and Washington about The War In Iraq.

What was Bush thinking with his "bring em on" comment?

And now he wants us to go to Liberia?
