Tonight I get an e-mail from Dick Gephart looking for money, and then this little bit of art:
I miss your program and your "style" but was disturbed, once again, about how you seem to be milking the Columbine incident in your bio....lose it, please. It is a bit ridiculous. I live in Colorado and lived near Columbine High School and am not as "moved" as you seem to be. LIfe goes on, and my life is good; my life has changed and luckily for me, for the better. Life goes on. Harris and Klebold are gone and we all are better here now. Why don't you try a dash of reality in Chicago and stop using the disaster in Colorado for your career.

Columbine (I knew some of the SWAT team that went in), and the murder of Denver Police Officer Bruce Vanderjack did change my life. For those of you who do not remember, or never listened, I use to yell, call names, and put people down.
All that stopped after those two events. I mean how do you tell a 16 year old picking on people, and making them feel small is not OK, when you are doing it yourself?
Man, some people really need help. Like this woman. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
I think the phrase fits.
If I had my choice I would rather learn from the past, and lose Dick Gephart from the future.
