It was a little tough getting back in the saddle this morning for Don and Roma. I almost over slept. A few things from this mornings' show:
Check this out: when someone comes forward to seek public office that is not part of the "inside circle" they are pounced on right away. Case in point Arnold Schwarzenegger. People like Rush Limbaugh and others on the far right are after this guy right away because he's not one of them.
I'm not saying I'd vote for the guy, but it never fails to happen, these kinds of attacks. The DLC is doing the same thing to Howard Dean.
Now you know why the two party system in this country sucks.
The other thing is we did a story about "News Burn Out" and are people tired of the news. Once again the hard core right came forward to talk about how the news media is all liberal.
I should have answered better with examples like the press not taking Bush to task for his "bring them on" comments about Iraq!
Why didn't they touch that those left-wing commies?
Or how about the Westar scandal?
What it amounts to is any bad news is "liberal" news unless it is against anyone "liberal" then it's good news.
Orwell would have loved this.
P.S. Where are the WMD's?
