Tom Russell put on a great show last night at the El Camino Real Hotel Grand Ballroom last night. Met the great Texas music critic Joe Nick Powowski, and talked about how bad music radio is these days.
Voice tracked DJ's same music over and over. Here in El Paso I found a station on the AM dial from across the boarder. The station's at 970, and plays nothing but Bonda and Rancheros music.
Now it's on the road to Bisbee, Arizona.
God, I love the desert and Mexico.
