I was listening to jazz this afternoon when it hit me. Here's what I don't like about the right-wing, the Rush Limbaughs and the rest of them. They spend too much of their time beating up on anyone who doesn't see things their way. It's like they can't live unless they sell the idea that anyone out there who may not look at life they way they do.
The left will do the same thing at times. Like in my case I believe in the right own a gun. I do not believe in abortion.
Yet at the same time I don't want to turn this country into a church run state, and I'm a proud member of the ACLU.
I guess I'm becoming an Anarchist. I want people to do the right thing, have a sense of community, and I don't believe a winner take all society is the best thing in every case, but I also don't want to be pushed, and called names if I don't go along.
So where does that leave me?
To vote for Kerry? Hang in with Dean? I will never vote for Bush. I wish him well, but I won't vote for him.
I guess I should get out my black and red flag, my copy of On The Road, and turn up the volume on my CD player and think about this some more.
