When it comes to the economy there's two sides to the story. There's the Bush side of the story, and then there's the Kerry side of the story, and then there's what's really happening out there, which makes for three sides of the story.
A painter friend of mine went to a seminar yesterday put on by art dealers in Chicago. Many of the galleries are struggling to keep the lights on. There's no one buying art out there. I feel lucky to have sold a couple of paintings at my show at Mars, which is still going on through the 20th.
So where is the recovery?
Where are the jobs?
And where will artists go to show their works?
I wish I had the answer. One thing I know the answer isn't with George Bush, and many of my friends are runing out of storage space for their works.
