I was talking to a friend of mine today and he was saying how now that the election is over with there's a feeling like there's nothing any of us can do. I hated to agree with him, but I feel the same way. While Bush pushes to privatise social security, clamming there a crisis when there isn't one, and congress hums along with him the real crisis in health care.
Used to be in this country if you wanted to sell your house, pile your stuff in the trunk of your car, and hit the road to a new life somewhere you could do it. No more. Now you have to keep your job because of the benefits, and even those are going down hill.
So now what? What can we do about it? Not a damn thing. Keep working and keep paying it's become to American way.
