Hot cocoa and a short hike sounded better than wine and a movie (although I did watch the last 15 minutes of the Wertmuller movie before I left the house; love that passionate fight scene).

Then out into the soggy wannabe winter. Willows all shades of orange and red along the creek. I wish you could hear the racket the robins make. It echoes off the hillsides. They fly up out of the junipers and back down again in great bunches. So grateful for those berries. Bumper crop this year.

Apple finally stood still long enough for me to get a good photo.

Back. Ready for more chocolate, as soon as I get the stove lit. I hope you kissed your families real good today.

Solved many other Radio software problems in time to send you this feast-day card. It's my brother's favorite holiday--food!--although he keeps wondering where everybody is. (Brian remembers what's important.):

And I'm just about to the bottom of my first glass of wine. Maybe one more to go with the pie...

It rained half the night and snowed all day. It's snowing still. I decided my Thanksgiving movie will be Wertmuller's ...Night Full of Rain, maybe because of all this Italy talk (thanks for the info, Dick; Tuscany's officially on my list, now), or maybe because I really miss Giancarlo Giannini's scruffy countenance. Nobody really does scruffy anymore.

I'M READY TO GO!
