Word to the wise: when your body says don't drink the coffee, don't drink the coffee. I was awake until 4. And not productively so. BUT today is brilliant {Sunshine, Day 1). No morning fire necessary if you can tough it out until the sun hits the windows, and we can. I have much traveling to do today--12 miles north to fetch the mail; 14 miles south to fetch llama hay. And then over Cedar Pass and down to my former haunt, Surprise Valley, to fetch fresh eggs from Ardith the egg lady, a roll of fence wire from my ex-neighbors {the tortoise-owners), Cedarville Post Office to mail two cookies, Page's Market to pick up--let's see--toilet paper!, and to Arthur's Natural Food Coop to get a catalog before Wednesday's Mountain People order goes out. Cookies will be had by all, naturally. And this will be more human contact than I've had in a month of Sundays {present company excepted). Should be interesting. Hope to get a good photo of that very photogenic valley to show you when I get back.
How will I get fence wire and hay into the bed of that little truck? A dilemma... Two trips out and back. Rats. |
