Once I get the latest flurry of sold items wrapped and posted, I'll spend the rest of the day finishing the Unknown Mills Family Memorial post I started on Wednesday, and I hope it will arrive in this space late afternoon or early evening (Pacific time).
It was an amazing experience selling 38 items in 38 hours on Amazon. Cost $60 postage, $10 packing tape, and some very creative packaging materials from around the house, attic, garage... I spent three hours in the Alturas post office getting it all tidied up and sent. Four more things have sold so far this morning, so I guess I'm still not finished. Maybe I can buy firewood after all!
This little flush of success, a reminder of my successes of long ago, has inspired me, set fire to me, toward a new enterprise, I hope profitable, to be disclosed later.
A light overcast filters the daylight here at the Old Same Place. These days are warmish--40s and low 50s--with clear nights down around 20F. The waxing moon's white light reflects off the snow and into the uncurtained windows of my darkened bedroom, and so I fear my insomnia may wax, in turn and as usual. But I have much thinking to do, anyway, as I lay the foundations for my new business, so perhaps that will be a good thing, too.
