My brother's birthday arrives in 8 days. He's very excited about it. I've made the " Life of Brian " series I wrote last year into a single document I'll post in my "Salvage" category on his day. Someone has a blog called " Life of Brian " now, so I'll change the title. Brian will be 37.
After the exhausting and wild head-trip of this morning's meditation, I got down only a single draft of a new poem. It's a start, though, in a different direction. These meditation journeys are consuming more time than they used to and I'm ending up in stranger places, so I think maybe every day is not such a good idea. It's an awful lot of fun, though.
Greenhouse work to catch up with. I have to scoop out half the silt that fills the planting table and replace it with compost.
There's a remote possibility I may drive to Redding tomorrow and meet my son Jesse there for a meal and some time together. He will drive up from Chico, which lies 75 miles south of there, 240 miles southwest of here, on the valley floor. I haven't seen Jess since November 6 of last year. It will be an expensive day in terms of dollars--fuel and expenses--but worth it if we can pull it off.
