Our Trip to Lakeview

A picture named gooselake.jpg
When you drive to Lakeview, it's always good to pause and view the lake--in this case, Goose Lake, which straddles the California-Oregon border and is in the process of drying up; but it still makes a good home for thousands of water birds.

I couldn't get close enough to this distant house in New Pine Creek to tak a good picture, so this is blown up a little. I was fascinated by the yard full of poppies.

I passed another abandoned place full of these huge poppies-just-starting-to-pop.

On the way home I spotted this out the car window.

Gorgeous outside today. Warm (in the 70s, probably, later on) and bright and dry. The next-door owner sent a very nice note. Sorry, she loves that place, also. Doesn't want to sell. But who knows what the future holds?, she says. So.

Hey we think we've figured out what Apple is, breed-wise. Mostly border terrier (See Googled image painting). With, like, a bulldog swimming around in the gene pool. I'd never heard of border terrier before. She's such a great dog, a beautiful personality, friendly, smart, energetic, obedient. I'd join the border terrier fan club, for sure.

Short morning. I'm getting ready to drive 50 miles north to a doctor appointment. My hard physical labor (but it felt so good!) over the weekend brought on another episode of swelling-breathlessness- etc. This upsets me a good deal, especially when no one can find anything wrong. Anyway, I've been redirected north, to a physiologist. It should be an enlightening (if very expensive) day. I just want to get this figured out so I can get on with things. Expedite, expedite. I have things I must do and have been quiet long enough, probably. Let's go.
