All morning making plans, arranging the store shelves in my head, wrestling with the logo, making mental lists--power company, phone company, reseller's permit, county clerk, CPA--and bookmarking wholesale remainder outfits. Found a terrific remainder site for books in Spanish published in Mexico. So many Mexican families working the ranches up here, not a book to be found for them. Warm colors inside, so that in the bleakness of winter it will glow golden from the picture windows onto the snow and people will make their way there to sit and get over their winter woes. I've chosen the grand opening date--November 2, which is remarkable numerologically and it's the New Moon. There's a house in town there I very much want to buy. It sits on the outskirts, with big windows and a deck facing east onto a clear view of the Warners, with horse-and-sheep pastures between and a fenced yard/lot so large even my two old llamas would be happy there. I'm expecting things to change a great deal. And so they can't fail to do so.
The remainder of the day here I'll alternate between the computer, which is slowly uploading my gigabyte of photo files to online backup storage, and cutting up my stack of weathered untreated old corral rails into woodstove lengths. Oh, and Brother B requests another batch of cookies, so that, too. |
