Somebody "yahooed" my site looking for Thomas Kincade. Yuck. The worst part is I scanned through the listings, and I was the only negative. In fact, there were lots of links to Christian pages, which leads me to wonder, is Kincade the favorite art of the religious?
My sweetie says that Kincade is the "Kenny G of the painting world" - they've both got technical skills, but they just can't think of anything good to do with them.

Lansing will be recognized by the Department of Energy as a "Clean City." The "Clean Cities" designation allows our fair city access to grant monies, special programs, and promotional activites. The city has long promoted the use of alternative fuels to reduce oil dependence, especially from foreign sources.

Howard Dean has announced that he will be visiting my neck of the woods. He's expected to be in the Lansing area on October 6, and will also give a speech on the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing.
This is exciting! I plan on being there. I remember seeing Bill Clinton in '92, before he was elected. It was a hopeful atmosphere, yet tinged with sobriety. I got to see him from fairly close up, and there was something in his eyes, in the sound of his voice, that made each one of us believe that we could make a difference. He had charisma. 1992 was the only year so far that I've actually had to wait in line to vote.
Michigan, home to 17 electoral votes and a fairly split voting body, has become the new battleground for the 2004 race. I wonder if Howard Dean will have the right stuff to bring us out to vote. I'll let you know when I see him.
