In today's paper they were talking about a lovely little website named Lansingsucks.com. Actually, it's more of a question than a declarative statement. I am in firm agreement with them on a lot of topics: downtown is dead and needs to be re-energized, there aren't a whole lot of cultural events outside campus, people should live in the city, etc.
In a strange way, Lansingsucks.com serves as sort of a electronic meeting place. You can learn about cool places to go in downtown or Old Town, city history, and places/businesses/people to avoid. It's a good resource to have. Maybe it will serve someday as a clearinghouse for local action groups. There are pictures on the site of the anti-war march, so I don't think it's too far fetched.
