These days you can't turn around without hearing something about blogging.  Today I ran across two - lest you think we've been toiling in relative obscurity (okay, well, some of us have).

Over at The Onion, it's included in this week's "STATshot."  The topic is "What are we doing before our first date?"  Response #4 is "Reporting anxiety on blog, with promises to update."  (Some of us may slightly resemble this remark....)

It's also in today's Andrei Codrescu commentary on NPR.  He compares blogging to the work of a wolf spider that's taken up residence in his yard and built quite an impressive nest for herself.  He says "She was lucky.  She built her nest in a liberal's yard.  I should be so lucky.  Or you."  (I'd consider Salon to be the "ultimate liberal front lawn", wouldn't you?)  He also makes a comment about how both communities are similar.
