Hello again....I hope you all had a merry Xmas.  Sorry I haven't been around much - this holiday season's been even more crazy than usual.  Have I mentioned I hate shopping?  No, really....I do.  Most women will tell you that they love to shop.  I am not one of them.  Not only do I hate to shop, I am also a rotten gift-giver.  Sweetie, on the other hand, is a fantastic shopper and gift-giver, and I'm hard-pressed to compete with him.

Now, this holiday, I really wanted to shop more responsibily, which means going to local places, downtown places, and no malls.  I didn't go to too many local stores.  I didn't really shop at the big mall stores either though.  I carved a nice trough down the middle of the road.  For example, I spent quite a bit of money at Sears this year.  They had great stuff, and I got all of it on sale!  Plus, I've also heard over at Lansingsucks.com that Sears is good to its reservist employees (the company pays the difference in salary while the soldiers are on duty....nice, eh?).  I also avoided Wal-Mart like the plague and bought nothing there.

At last, the long holiday shopping season is over.  Now it's the after-holiday sales that try to entice us out of our houses.  If you'll excuse me, I think I need a nap...
