Why is it that when 9/11 happened the French showed us solidarity by flying American flags and showing good will towards us but when the same number of people die of heat-related causes people here can have the gall to mock the French for being "soft?" It doesn't get this hot in France! How would Texas deal with the heat if it had no air conditioning? How would this Washington Post mutha be in 104F heat with no A/C? Why are people so callous and unfeeling? It was bad enough to expect the French to obey our commands to join us in a war they didn't want to fight in (the NERVE of those commies!). I seriously doubt the US would fight in every war anyone else wanted to fight (though we seem to like having wars an awful lot lately: at least the people who decide to have them-who don't have to actaully FIGHT-like having 'em). For us to imply the French hate freedom or something by re-naming french fries...the whole turn of events was one of the most asinine things I've ever seen in this country. The French could have taken the statue of liberty back and been justified.
So the rest of the world can see what assholes Americans can be...GREAT! I love it when idiots make the whole country look like jingoistic morons who don't care about anyone else but themselves. When AMERICANS die it's a tragedy (and "you're either with us or against us" when we decide to attack people who had literally NOTHING to do with the tragedy) but when other people die they're just wimps. If anyone from other countries finds their way to this blog please don't think all Americans are stupid jerks. Thank you.
