Republicans, Democrats, and the concept of state Dave Morris of AlterNet has an interesting take on the Medical Marijuana vote in the House (see my Sunday article Can Congress Get a Clue? (Medical Marijuana and States' Rights)). He focuses more specifically on the divide between Dems and Repubs on states rights, individual rights, and privacy. Sample: "After July 23 it is impossible for the Republicans to argue that theirs is the party that fights to defend the individual against the tyranny of big government." Strong words, but supported in his article.
