I've had a Mac 12" powerbook for several years and have taken it everywhere with me. But it's getting to the end of its natural life, and no longer has the power to handle the new photography software I need to use. So I'm hoping to get a new computer in January, 2007.
I'll be getting a real beauty! (And I get an educational discount.)

- 15.4-inch (diagonal) 1440x900 widescreen TFT display
- ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with 256MB of GDDR3 SDRAM and dual-link DVI

- Lightweight aluminum alloy
- ExpressCard/34 slot

Sure, it's more than I need to do Drug WarRant. But I also do a lot of other things with my computer, including graphic design and photography work, so I need some power, yet I love the portability of being able to take a laptop with me everywhere.
Any help at all is appreciated.
