Our sympathy and condolences to those who died in the blasts and their loved ones. We hope they and the rest of London can take what little comfort they can in knowing that they have a Prime Minister who did not shirk his duty, but rushed back to the scene of the tragedy despite his participation in the important G8 meeting and the possibility of personal danger to himself. A lesser man might have run and hid until he was sure the danger had passed, but Tony Blair had the example of Winston Churchill before him. In the days of the blitz, not only Churchill but the royal family stayed at their posts--with their people. That is how a leader who cares about his people should act when their country has been attacked.
