Update
Oh, man, this is still a bad situation but it's funny, too, although I can't really share it right now. Maybe someday.
At any rate, I took down that last post for good reason, although my promise is still good. I just can't talk about it anymore. Which I will explain maybe in a month or three.
My friend's in very good hands, and the cat's out of the bag as far as her situation (it's a small town; and were you thinking it was a he? I feel so clever being gender neutral the way I was). Those of you who've written me and asked how you can help, thank you, I will let you know.
But we all feel better now, knowing we have a community behind us. And I feel better knowing I have a community right here. It's been humbling and wonderful and all squishy and stuff.
